I remember that song and video....he actually did look like a real Tommy in that.

Though the accuracy of the depiction of the truce is debatable, it was an ambitious video that featured more than 100 extras, and McCartney had even cut his hair especially for the shoot.

Out here in Europe, it was quite a hit those day's. I still remember it well. Here it went to number 0ne in the list's around Christmas.
But then again, WW1 was fought here..
