How old is the book " uniforms " Le Casque A Pointe ?
I have the 2 Vols. on the helmets and have been out
for some years
but I missed the uniform one
also the Reiner Hermann book
I do not have that , nor have I seen it
Thanks
Steve

Steve the Reiner Herrmann book came out in 2000, good book in German with great pictures of all types of helmets.

F I have a huge reference library that unfortunately I need to let go as I have difficulty turning the pages now days.

Col. J. ;
Are you going to list them ?
Bring them to the S O S ?
that might be to much to try and do .

Steve

Steve,
I need to sell a whole lot so listing them would be quite time-consuming. I can bring them all to SOS if somebody wants a huge collection. References cost a lot of money but it is always worth it.

Interesting with all the nice reference books .
I never thought about this .
Since most have been posted
I may try and do something different .
Since I have a strong interest in
Imperial German regimental flags
maybe I can take some photos
of my reference books that I have
for information on flags .
Something different
but of limited interest
Steve

Ok I have all these books and many more, however, let us not forget the Grand daddy of them all and probably still my favorite reference book.

Das Deutsche Heer L'Armee Allemande en 1914 by Didier Lane, awesome book.

And probably the best quick reference guide out there Imperial German Headgear by forum member James Turinetti

James ;
Very good .
I open Laine almost everyday
Not only helmets , but as know
I collect shoulder straps and some epaulettes
so quick reference for the cyphers and underlay color
only problem it is pre war so does not cover
the late cyphers and the late cypher changes .
Mike Kelso's book will cover all that .
Due out ( I hope ) Jan. 2017
Jim's books are also good
I have some of them
I know a lot of the members are not fans of or
collect miters
but I am and I do
Jim did a really good book on just miters .
