It has been a while since I was able to locate a strap
for my shoulder strap collection
this one appealed to me .
As the airplane started to play more of a roll in the war
New units were formed to combat the planes
some groups wore the M1915 strap in red like the field artillery
other wore the M1915 yellow straps of the Fuss Artillery
This strap is for the Scheinwerfer Abtlg. 683 ( search light )
You will notice the prongs seen on the red side
on the Feldgrau backside we see the metal pieces
of the winged shell and the " S "
my thought is that this was some sort of field promotion
or un-finished strap that was or is for an Officer Stellvertreter ?
no lace and no numbers
