    How to properly conserve pickelhaubes?

Everyone has their own way of making them shine. Here I hold my pickelhaube underneath with a beer glass (Duvel glass)Belgian beer:LOL:

    Pilots helmet

Good day everyone, yes clearly I went for a fair price, but because I already own 2, I didn't bid, so let's hope the buyer here is someone.

    Pilots helmet

Hello. This one is definitely a good one. I made this one in black, exactly the same stamps, so no worries. By the way, I have my eye on it too, so there will be bidding for this one. Then I’ll have all 3 types of this type of aviator helmet.

Oh my, I don't want to be nosy, but what did you buy that you have to pay 1,000 dollars in import duties?

I'm also a bit worried if everything is correct, but I checked the previous auction and it was also 14 days later, so it will be fine. Regards, Gino

    Reproduction IR 22 Pickelhaube

Nicely done, even though it's a repro. It wouldn't really sit well with me if it were standing with my others though; it looks nice and is back in good shape. You're never too old to learn, as you can see.

That little pickelhaube in the photo is also nice; I've been looking for one of those for quite some time too.

Jaeger zu Pferde Reserve Officer Helmet for Regiment 8-13

Very beautiful piece, this one is also still on my wish list, but there is so much else on my wish list so I'll wait until one pops up from a collector who trades something like this.

Well, the auction is sometimes a gamble; if you take the exchange rate into account, then the auction fees plus auctioneer's fees and shipping, you end up with a high amount. Sometimes I don't understand who buys pieces that make me think, "Wow," and then sometimes pieces that no one bids on...

    bursts in Kürassier

Dear friends, here are some photos of the helmet being offered. Unfortunately, there is a dent in the back. How can I get rid of it or let it go? The price is 1700 dollars. I am unsure what to do.

    auction Hermann Historica GmbH

That's true, but when you see how expensive some pieces are getting, I wonder who is buying them on a global scale.

    auction Hermann Historica GmbH

Just checking to see who is still at their PC here to admire and bid on tomorrow's auction by auction Hermann Historica GmbH. The prices are low, I would say, but tax and shipping will also play a major role in placing a bid.
