Regt. der Gardes du Corps (Potsdam) or Kürassier-Regt. von Driesen ?

Senior NCOs would often wear officer cockades - lots of photographic evidence of that. So maybe he had advanced as an NCO?

Kurassier Officer's Pallasch with Salm family Coat of Arms. Help with possible Ids.

I was gonna say the same thing! Outstanding.

Same challenge Michiel - except in felgrau it could also be for HR3 von Zieten! Beautiful cap - and great picture of your son(?)! Steve's suggestion is a good one.

    Leib-Husaren NCOs

Two of my fave images of Leib-Husaren NCOs - I *think* I see cyphers in both, so 2LHR2? Both are full of character, and the top one is evidently wartime - I see an EK2 ribbon and what looks like another one as well. (And I am always on the lookout for caps just like these, if anyone comes...

I agree with Bob. The Berlin label makes me favor GdC. The colors for both regiments are identical - usually the only way to take an educated guess is by the maker/seller (if there is one) or an ID on the original owner. A lovely cap, either way. Both are plenty rare.

    1867 Saxe Chin Scale Rebuild

No! If anything...please do more of them. You are a rare craftsman of a lost art, and seeing what can be done and how things we collect were made is extremely interesting (to me, anyway). 👍

World War One Officer's Cap Of Jaeger Bataillon Nr. 7.

Yes! As far as I know they were the only unit from Schaumburg-Lippe, and the only ones to use this feldzeichen/kokarde.

World War One Officer's Cap Of Jaeger Bataillon Nr. 7.

That's an awesome cap - tons of character, and a great Battalion. The FG peak is a extra nice! I really like these guys. My own Bückeburg Jaegers are below - the reserve officer cap is clearly pre-war, but I suspect the Tchako is wartime construction.
