Tried the saliva technique; still difficult to read. I really appreciate all the advice and support from the group. Next step is contact Brian and hopefully get restored! Family friends had these for years and I remeber seeing them in great condition about 40 years ago. Looking forward to...

First 2x attached photos of markings inside the Grenadier helmet. Date appears to be 1913. Third and fiurth photo of the Wurrtengerg helmet and I could find no markings / stamps anywhere. This is rather exciting for me. So glad I was directed to this great community! Semper Fidelis---Matt
