The underside of the pickelhaube, like on the outside, is in fantastic shape. Sometimes on the liner of these particular felt models, you’ll find the name J.Bambus & Co, with its unique star shape stitching that ties the liner ends together. This one was much harder to make out, but thanks to Clovis, it is identified as Silber & Brandt. I’ve never heard of this manufacturer before. There’s also an ink stamp on the liner that says “gb.” Information provided by Lars says this is marked for garrison duty (g) in second grade condition (b). I have noticed this style of markings on other ersatz models. The only other markings I can find are the size 57 stamps (2 on the neck guard, one faintly on the liner).
