Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross

Thanks. The PLM is a really nice Wagner private purchase. The ribbon of course is a repro but I have a lead on an original.

Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross

Too bad you missed out on it Kris. They are a beautiful award. If you find out how much it went for, let me know. Originals certainly aren't cheap.

Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross

More commonly known as either the "Blücher Star" or the "Hindenburg Star" and obviously only two were ever awarded and these have been lost to time. As such, the closest a collector is going to get to owning one is to locate and purchase the extremely few examples that we collectors call...

    Baden Sr. NCO Artillery

Picked this up at the Max show last year. Overall quite nice condition Sr. NCO / Unteroffizier mit Portepee with a bit warping that hopefully should correct itself as it is now on one of Skipper Greenwades helmet stand/shapers Still learning here and often struggle trying to self identify a)...

    Some Haubs and misc items

Thanks! I think it is a 1st Garde-Regt. zu Fusilier Miter. It's quite salty with the yellow wool being quite faded, most of the silver wash being gone and missing the chin strap and Puschel. But it will have to do, until I can find a nicer and complete example.

Just a few photos of part of my Imperial items. I have more (awards, soft headgear, another Helmet or two and other stuff) but this is all that I had on my phone. Most of my collection (95%) though is WW2 so have a ways to go.....

Thanks all. I appreciate the kind comments. I don't have many but I'll try to post them over time. Maybe even some awards if there is a section for them in the forum. Regards Michael

    Baden Cavalry Landwehr Officers M1891

I've had this one for a few years. Nice condition with minor wear. Inside there is a handwritten marking 21, 1/2 which I'm note sure is a price or sizing. To me the size looks to be approx 56. On the rear skirt there is a stamp which looks like "094 E"

Thanks Steve. I'm pretty much the 'no drama' type as you probably know LoL. So nice to hear. Will acclimate and dig into the old threads to soak up what I can. If any questions, I'll be certain to post.
