In my opinion this is a molded eagle, not cast. Take a closer look to the edge, the sheet metal has the same thickness everywhere. In addition, some edges with a small radii look crushed by the molding process. Here is an example of a cast/molded helmet eagle, that Thierry explained in method...

I agree with you Tony. When I saw the front, I thought it could have been cast, but the back shows that it was molded. But it is a great emblem anyway 🤩

It’s also a nice example that shows that not all helmets with hexagonal nuts are messed up. These nuts appear to be sealed with the original lacquer.
