Feldgrau Ulanka and Uberrock identified to the estate of Oblt. d. R. Bogislaw von Ramin

As promised here are the photos of items identified to the estate of von Ramin. I am hesitant to say that the ulanka was actually owned by von Ramin. While it was sold as being from his estate, it lacks a laundry or owners mark. It could have been his or a family members. It could have been...

    Kaiserliche Marine Seebataillion - Leutnant

Bidding 2024 farewell, I will share my display to a Leutnant wearing a rather battered and poor Shako along with a very nice uberrock. Note the early style button placement which mimics the Ulanen uhlanka as it widens at the top to a wide V style. Also notice the black sleeve ends. Included in...

    Kurassier kocades

In my opinion, these are made of plastic. Those holes on the back are the injection holes. Looks like someone tried to clean up the inner circle but depending on the plastic used they may not be able to, without the plastic cracking or breaking.

    1°Kurassier Original?

My opion and others are free to not to agree but here is what I see: Very poor quality wappen, coupled with bolts on a feldgrau wappen? If it had been a painted brass wappen you might have an explanation but on a late war M15 wappen you should have loops. Kammer stamps are usually above the...

Kürassier for review- thoughts on this one

Charles, 4 things that really stand out and make me pause. 1) Repainted tail and visor. Bad MOJO. 2) Modern nuts and thick bolts on wappen. 3) Look at the date stamp under the Junkers stamp. First "1" is fat, second one is skinny. Almost all examples I have seen they are both skinny. Maybe...

ID help please Ramin, Bogislaw von

Steve, Your tschapka is a beautiful example! I am envious!!! I did not win the his reserve helmet. I am not convinced that's the same one that was resting on his coffin. The brush of the one at his funeral looks like a much fuller and longer one than the one that was sold at Kube. He may have...

    1 L H R 1 ? offered at auction ?

The "collectors item" phrase in German to English translations is the key phrase you are looking for. It literally means a collectors copy. That auction is rife with reproductions. Tread carefully and ask for photos.

Kube auction Saxon H R Plusch

Kube adds the $50 picture fee to any winning bid. Maybe he just thins out the tire kickers from real bidders by charging a picture fee. I think he might keep a running tab on his frequent clients and forgo's the fee if you hit a certain spend level.
