Poor picture taking is a waste of everybody's time...(NOT SATIRE)

Indeed. It happened to me at one of the German auctions recently. Only one picture provided. I took a chance and got bit. I appreciate those websites and auction houses that provide multiple, high quality pictures.

Feldgrau Ulanka and Uberrock identified to the estate of Oblt. d. R. Bogislaw von Ramin

John, it appears that Obltn. von Ramin purchased the two Uberrocks just days apart. I bought the other one in the auction and it has the tailor tag as well from the same company in Berlin. Mine is dated 11 June 1912. I do like these uniforms. The colors are magnificent.

Centennial Commemoration badge for the Garde Schützen Battalion

Wonderful to see. I collect these as well and though I have a few dozen, there is no end to the variety. Here are some favorites. Some are for veteran organizations, or Verein, and others anniversary commemorations.

    Company Logo in Visor Cap

For an excellent thread, just sent to me by a collector friend (stonemint), on "Verein" caps go here: https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/imperial-german-soft-headgear/1919-1945-verein-visors-345982/ Some excellent examples of caps made after 1918 for the veteran market and organizations. Included...

    Company Logo in Visor Cap

Not what I said. I’ve just provided info as to the company logo being Alkero. The company was founded in 1920 so that settles the question as to the timeframe on this cap. They remain in business today and are a high quality manufacturer. Identifying the logo was a big step forward for me. Here...

    Prussian 2nd Lt. Frock coat.

Dan and all, What really makes this coat interesting and desirable is that it is for a Leutnant in the 2. Garde-Feldartillerie-Regiment. This regiment was formed in 1872 and garrisoned in Potsdam. Is there a tailor label anywhere? Usually, Potsdam tailors were of the highest quality. Best of...

    Boxes for Helmets and Tschapkas

I have always loved having boxes to accompany most anything -- as they say, an original box with the item makes it more desirable though these came separately with the headgear that once resided inside. I do not collect Tschapkas and these may have been meant for those. I leave it to more...

    Is this website trustworthy?

It reminds me of the Detlev Niemann updates which were real feeding frenzies. Usually I got a “sorry sold” message after sending him an email to buy as quickly as I could.

Can someone identify the General with Kronprinz Rupprecht (shown on the right)?
