    New hat - help please.

    Hello, Here's a new acquisition. Don't really know what it is. The lower cap device displays some German writing and a date 1813. The upper device is missing. Interestingly, there doesn't appear to be any discoloration under the metal device(s). Can anyone please help? Thank you, Lurch

    Hi, Here's my newest spike addition. The fittings are all silvered which makes it look really cool. The interior has the soldier's name and a red stamp "5 K" (5th Kompanie?). I hope you enjoy the photos. Lurch

    The liner is in beautiful condition. The top of the interior has a black wool or felt liner. The camera flash revealed the soldier's name on the visor.

    EDITED: Hello, I need help with a EM Tschapka restoration please. There's a wartime em's tschapka for sale with brass fittings, but needs everything else. I've got an EM's tschako eagle (I believe guards'), but its is metal colored and not brass. Would they work together? Thank you, Lurch

    Jaeger Zu Pferde chin strap help?

    Hello, I have an other ranks Jaeger Zu Pferde helm and need chin strap advice. The cockades and c/s are missing. Am seeking the rosettes in the wanted §, but do have a workable strap - I think? It's an ersatz cloth (tan colored) c/s with nickel colored fittngs and wonder if that would work...
