A shill bidder is someone who owns the item and creates a fake account to raise the price of their own item. When it's done on ebay, the shill bid account usually has zero or one or two feedback on there account. The tell tale sign is a bidder with zero feedback or history with multiple bids.

In his description he says "post war" shell, so its probably a replica. I have bought from this dealer before and he has always been honest.

There is a militaria dealer who goes by Derrittmeister and a lot of his stuff is now on Ebay. But what I don't get is how he is asking sky high prices for the stuff. For example, he is asking $5000 USD for a m15 Kurassier helmet when a similar one sold for $1500 USD on the Age Of Kings...

I have seen this guy's website before, he always has pickelhaubes and other imperial german headgear which are often a bit pricey and they seem to sell out quickly... ? ? ?
