I missed what the price was on it, did anyone else see?

A Grand Piece. Seems to be in very nice shape, at least as opposed to some others I've seen that are absolutely trashed.

It's hard to tell because of the afore mentioned condition of the piece, however looking at the color of the side lugs, I'd say it's an M1915. It looks as though it also has had several Wappens on it over the years, based on the number of holes I'm seeing. Basically, it will need to have all...

A Beautiful Helmet Indeed.

I'm not entirely sure however just talking off the top of my head, I'd say that Unterbeampten do not have mottos, whereas Oberbeampten, as seen in this AOK listing, do have mottos. That is my best guess anyhow.

It can also be said that by the time the Germans began using Gas, the Brass Helmets were pretty much phased out, and the Pickelhaube was on its last legs as a useful helmet anyhow, because by the time Germany realized gas as a more mas weapon, it was already being phased out in favour of steel...

Great pair of books, I'd like to get my hands on them some day.

I have an antique store near me that has several cabinets like this and many other shelves and cabinets like this one. I always love to look at them and imagine just what all you could fill them with. Of course then you look at the price, rub your prints off of it, and walk away quickly.

I always liked the Wappen on these helmets, being the Prussian Coat of Arms, a symbol witch I really like, great assembly.
