Ww1 German all steel lance Lieb Hussar Regt

My pleasure, just trying to help. I feel the same about the lack of markings if you take your 56 years and add my 50 to it that says a lot. Germans at the time marked just about everything specially weapons. I actually dug out the reference book to add a bit more specific information for you...

    Interesting Helmet

That one's not going to go cheap it has over 100 people watching it and you have to think there are more than a few people looking who actually know what it is. ;)(y)

Ww1 German all steel lance Lieb Hussar Regt

I don't claim to be an expert, but I've seen at least five of these over the years and all had factory stamps. Also, everyone single one had a date stamp, as well as the ruling monarchs initial stamped at the base of the tip of the lance point just like 99.9% of all weapons when issued. I've...

    New M18 helmet

The chipping does give the look of two layers of paint but one look at the Original AK 66 stamping in the neck guard tells the story. IMO period painted shell, no doubt. (y)

Ww1 German all steel lance Lieb Hussar Regt

Since I've had no reply to the request of additional markings on the lance, I'm assuming there are none. As mentioned, it should be one piece I wouldn't touch it or the Pennant after a closer look at the sewn holes for attachment. Coolest thing is how someone made the wrist strap, that is...

Ww1 German all steel lance Lieb Hussar Regt

I think you may have something there, looks like someone made the strap out of a gun sling, that is really well done. Are there any other markings on the lance?

CANADA TO UNITED STATES SHIPPING DELAYS

I think that's a great idea politics and religion have no place on a forum related to Pickelhaubes. We should all focus on the things that bring us together not the things that have the potential of tearing us apart.
