Congrats, mine was a combi of original and replacements/copies as well...infantry other ranks prussian as I remember. Leave it as it is and wait for originals to come your way if you can. cheers Tony

There are also two Officers for sale on Regimentals site in the UK. i have seen one and it is all ok IMO. the other I have not handled. Nice to ahve a choice though....

I too am a bottom feeder despite the flashy purchase.....the plate was a lucky find. There were two IR 89 plates..one for strelitz and one for schwerin but the schwerin one was a wrong un.

Thanks guys. Tony it's got flat chinscales and officer stars and cockades so not a OYV..or at least it's not now. FWR on the chest. Also forgot to mention..... its got the Colberg 1807 scroll on the bottom......doh so it could be either GR 9 or Foot Artillery rgt 2 then ? Tempting.....

Hi I am wondering is there any difference between the old style helmet plates used by the Grenadier Regiments and the ones worn by the old regiments of the Artillery ? Or is the only difference in the Officers helmet the spike instead of the ball finale? asking because I have seen one without...
