Hi, just to add to the excellent information on this thread and the superb helmets on show here is an unissued example showing all the manufacturers traits discussed above. Of note are the inside details as this example contains the extra padding in the helmet shell and a Cork front pad...

Thanks fir the kind words Keeping with the comrades in arms theme, officer tunics late war for the Italian front. German tunic for Reserve Rgt 206 with pickelhaube and uberzug. Austrian officers karlsbluse for rgt 4.

And jiggled my Bavarian officers display to fit the cabinet

Also found a place for my Baden plate.

Successful trip to a fair last month enabled me to complete a display I had in mind for a while. Austrian-German post card I have had a long time now brought to life with caps. Cheers Tony 🍻
