    I would agree. In addition, they have 10 nice Kriegsmarine officer's swords that I would love to bid on....but because they have Ivory handles they can't get sent out of the EU. Grrrrr.

    The back of this has a note stating "1891 Hannover". It has quite the mix of Cavalry units. At least one from each Cavalry type(except JzP), many different Regiments. I'm guessing these are attendees of the Hannover Riding School. It's fun to try to guess which Regiments. My first cut: GKR...

    This is an Officer's version of the M54 Kurassier Pallasch. It was made by Damaschke. The blade is massive, about 37.75 inches long (about 96 cm) which would suggest it was made before 1896 when the Kurassier Pallasch blades were shortened. The really interesting thing is the Pommel Nut...
