    Restoration

The reason you cannot find any markings on the Wurttemberg helmet, is because it's an officer one, these were usually private purchase ones. There are marked ones too, however.

    Restoration

These helmets are sure worth restoring. I like both the Grenadier one, and the Wurttemberg helmet. Looking forward to see the markings on both of them! Like Steve said, Brian is very good at restoring helmets like these. Welcome here on the forum by the way!

    The Jensen collection Part IV

Indeed it is! I work with PVC in my regular work, we make fittings for sewer installations, things like Bends, 45 degrees, or 15, 90 degrees, T-pieces and such. When warmed too high, they emit a burning smoke which tells me enough.. Not good for a human to inhale, let alone a helmet which is...

    The Jensen collection Part IV

The circular base of wineglasses fit the support disc of pickelhauben perfectly, just measure which size wineglasses will clear the visors from touching the surface you put your helmets on, and your good to go! They're much cheaper than stands which sell for a lot more, so you can use that...

    The Jensen collection Part IV

Hi Dane, here some pictures of my collection of pickelhaubes on wine glasses. Just to show you how it looks, displaying them that way. Do not look at the dust, I really need to dust them off more frequently... Those wineglasses are cheap too! Best regards, Coert.

    The Jensen collection Part IV

Just measure the height you need them to be, from the inside down, just so the visors are free from touching the surface you are displaying your helmets on, and you're good to go. Then place those glasses upside down, and you're ready! I have several ones, in different heights here, so every...

    The Jensen collection Part IV

It looks great Dane! A nice way of displaying your collection. For your info, I personally use wineglasses, for my haubes when displaying them, just to keep the front and rear visors off the "ground" so as to keep the stitchings of the visors free of any stress. Wine glasses are not very...

militracks, the biggest event with functioning german vehicles and tanks in the world

And so it is, a great museum! I visited Militracks 3 times already, alway's nice, this year I didn't go. The museum itself, I visited many times, first when I was growing up, with my parents and sister, my dad wanted us to know what war really was, and the significance of it all. In fact, my...

Busy now cleaning up my shelves, so the M95 can sit next to its M15 companion. Which is of a larger size by the way. Regards, Coert.

Here some more pictures of the markings, as is and one after some wet water, to make it more readable, liner and wappen fixtures, no double holes! I like it, quite satisfied of it's appearance, only missing the nut for the fixing of the rear spine. Regards, Coert.

    M 95 Baden infantry.

I saw this one for sale at our national selling site, and thought, lets see what it is, the photo's looked okay. Went to see it this evening, and all looked good to me, kokarden are suspect though. Nicely marked IR169, 1B, 1905. No loose stitching, liner is okay, fittings and wappen are all the...

Any fellow members here who enjoy a good Bier ?

I really like the Belgian Trappist beer's, especially when having a nice evening relaxing. When just finished a workday, I usually drink Warsteiner, but that ain't no trappist off-course, regular beer, but a nice, fresh tasting one. After dinner, and reading referencebooks, or busy with my...
