Welcome! I thought I saw or read somewhere that the torpedo staff on the capital ships also had the red script.

In 1914 the Infanterie Regiment von Grolman Nr.18 (20th Army Corps) epaulettes would have had a blue background. However, the "Atlas des Deutschen Reichheers " published by Carl Henckel in Dresden in 1901 lists the regiment as being in the 17th Army Corps but with a yellow background.

Here is a photo of what I own and which was sold to me by reputable German dealer as a Garde Kürassier cap and not a Kürassier Nr. 3 one . But we all know there can be many variations in the color blue especially after 100 years.

Griffen Militaria ( griffenmilitaria.com) presently lists " Garde Cuirassier Regiment Officer"s Visor Cap" for $750. A dependable dealer in my experience.

This is how it starts! Buy a new uniform and then you want it as complete as possible : the hat ,the belt, the epaulettes ...... We have all been there ,I suppose, part of the fun of collecting. Kube just sold the schirmmütze that would have gone with your new tunic. There will be more eventually.

I saw that one on Emedals website. I wish they had sold the medals, that didn't seem to go with an kürassier officer , in a separate sale. However, it is a nice uniform. Could the epaulettes also be for the Kürassier Regiment von Driesen Nr.4?

Mystery solved. Never saw first invoice from Kube but the second one, upon my inquiry, did come in a "spam/junk" folder yesterday. 190 Euros in shipping fees , those books are heavy.

Nothing yet. Prior to the auction, Kube acknowledged that he had received my mail bids by return email. According to the result list provided above by Claudio ,I won several things, mainly regimental histories. I emailed Kube yesterday , no response yet.

Has anyone in the United States received an invoice for Kube's May 20th auction yet? By letter, email , smoke signals ?
