What an outstanding example

I was fortunate enough to find a decent looking field badge to add to this piece.

As I'm settling into a new apartment I've begun doing a little work on this piece, the rear visor was halfway detached and I have finished repairing it as of today.

Very nice! I wasn't 100% certain of this one when I found it but between the pewter lid and the 50 dollar price tag I figured it was a safe bet

Good Morning gentlemen, I recently picked this up at an antique store in reno I thought I'd share it here, I'm not very well versed in steins but as far as I can tell it seems legitimate. The only issue is that the lid has broken, has anyone ever soldered pewter before?

It is a commemorative medal for DR. 24, usually my DR.24 helmet sits on that stand but I had swapped them out for the photo.

Are some of the fittings silver?

Good evening everyone, I came across this plate and am having a hard time identifying exactly what it would have been on, it has the same exact details as a standard mecklenburg wappen except it has a shield in the center instead of an oval/ circle. Does anyone have any ideas?

Has anyone ever cut open the inner should seams of a uniform like this before?

It would be interesting if I could ID the man and see what awards he received during the war since I'm certain the portrait was done pre war

Right now my main objectives would be the bavarian artillery chord with 2 shells and a single mount silver saint Michael's medal

I can post some close ups of the blade, it is a nice piece but unfortunately the blade has alot of corrosion damage especially at the tip.

I am still on the hunt for the proper shooting chord and a single mount saint Michael's medal if anyone happens to have them.
