I am reasonably certain that this helmet is pieced together, I believe this is the 3rd site I've seen it on? Never once has it brought the price you'd expect to see for one of these.

I love what appears to be a cased DR. 25 helmet in the last photo! The rest are spectacular as well, looks like a great show.

Does anyone have anything they'd entertain parting with?

It seems to me that was a standard for JR. 111 every helmet that I've seen from that regiment has painted marks. But I do also have a helmet which was stamped to the 91st in 1904 and had the markings for III L.J.R.85 painted on at a later date.

Can admins not just remove him permanently?

It looks like they were stamped into the leather vs. Stamped in ink, take a piece of paper and lightly shade over the paper and it may reveal markings.

Here is the liner and insides of the shako, as previously stated, no sweat stains, manufacturers stamps or depot marks.

I also forgot to mention that the chinstrap was acquired through Amy and I think it accompanies the helmet well, when I get some more time I intend on doing some more detailed repair work to the strap.
