    I love how you straightened that base! I use wooden dowels to straighten brass pieces or sometimes aluminum with leather as a buffer. Nice work!

    It's difficult to tell, would need to see the backside. If I ever decided to go after such a rare helmet, I would want to see the backside of the plate before buying!
