    Early Tschapkas Schuppenkette needed

I'm looking for an early screw-on type Schuppenkette and disks for a M 67 Sachsen Tschapka. Screws are still on the helmet so I don't require those. Any help would be appreciated.

    Wanted: chin scales

Hi, I need sets of chin scales for a Prussian Tschako, M91 style and an early screw-on set (screws are still on) for a Tschapka. Preferably, condition should be very good to excellent and bright for the M91 and very good and toned for the screw-on. Thanks!

Value Range of old Prussian Uhlanka/Ulanka?

The Ulanka jacket is for a Lieutenant in Schleswig-Holsteinisches Ulanen-Regiment Nr.15 based in Saarburg. The condition is good but yellow of that period was not a stong color and fades as on your tunic. The detachable yellow Rabatte shows the actual color the rest of the facings should be...

Line eagle on a Jaeger zu Pferde

The actual translation of Ordonanz in this context would be a military orderly. http://www.dict.cc/german-english/Ordonanz.html So the previous post makes sense in the number of orderlies attached to each rank...the higher the rank, the more staff assigned as orderlies. It also makes sense...

Line eagle on a Jaeger zu Pferde

I've been pursuing the subject as well and found a picture plate (Tafel 22) from "Unser Heer" from 1900 that identifies a Saxon Stabsodonanz soldier. It's a print and the man is on the far left in the background holding a horse http://www.landkarten-und-grafiken.de/images/generalstabsreise.jpg...

Line eagle on a Jaeger zu Pferde

amazing... very handsome Stabsordonanz helmet with the large cockades as mine - and definitely not a Libery Loan gift. Is it unit marked? Thanks for the post, Lost Skeleton. I've never seen a JzP helmet with a Baden plate. As I mentioned earlier, many years ago I saw a metal helmet with Husar...

Line eagle on a Jaeger zu Pferde

Well, the eagle is a perfect fit and the grey paint is consistant throughout - on the spike, eagle, chin strap parts, etc. I'm not sure if a parts helmet would be so well matched. My other JzP helmet isn't unit marked either. It's a pretty standard affair, also a 1916 made piece but a different...

Line eagle on a Jaeger zu Pferde

Thanks for posting the pictures. They're not the best but should give and idea. The front plate is attached with a single strip of leather that goes through the 2 loops on the eagle back.

Line eagle on a Jaeger zu Pferde

I'd be happy to send pictures but I can't seem to post one here through my photobucket account but here are a couple of links. Apparently the site does not permit direct uploading from my computer. There is over all wear to the grey but the eagle finish seems to match that of the spike and strap...

Line eagle on a Jaeger zu Pferde

I have a grey fitted 1916 dated Jaeger zu Pferde helmet with a line eagle. It appears to be the only eagle that has been on the helmet. I know line eagles were used originally but this seems like a late date for one to be in use. It also has the large cockades. Could this be for the 8th...

    Ulan 20 Uniform circa 1894

I don't collect Imperial German exclusively but several years ago...it may be 10 by now actually, I bought a complete 20th Ulan NCO Uniform, circa 1894 at an estate auction outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It even had a couple of 1890's American German Turnbund medals sewn on it - one from...
