    Officer pickelhaube 92Rgt Brunswick

They are great! Is there a regimental marking on the one with the Waterloo bandeau? I have an other ranks IR74 M95 in my collection. One of the 5 regiments which had the Waterloo bandeau. (I know officers helmet usually have no regimental stamps, as they were private purchased)

    Officer pickelhaube 92Rgt Brunswick

Hi Gary, I fully understand your opinion on this, but you know, I feel, and see it just like Amy does. I have no knowledge about these Brunswick helmets, so I didn't react. I do love them, but these are just too expensive for a working guy like me. And so I collect M15 and M95 enlisted helmets...

    Help............IR92 Other ranks Plate

Well, at the Western Front Association NL we have a socalled Book of the faces of their members. It might be possible here too. Then again, I do not think most members would like to see my ugly mug though. :ROFLMAO:

    YouTube

This is a very long posting on You-tube, almost 3 hours. It commemorates the 100 anniversary of the battle of Passchendaele 1917. Especially the last 2 hour's are very interesting. As usual, when I visit the Ypres salient, the last post ceremony is alway's the last I visit, before turning home...

    Imperial German Reference Books

These are highly recommended reference books! If I didn't already have them, volume 1 to 9, I'd be a buyer.

These are 3 of them, Droppie, Nero and Salino. The other one, Bounty, who is completely white, is sleeping in his favourite cardboard box in the kitchen. They all live the good life here. ;)

Yes I sure know that pub/restaurant. And I know Johan too, first time we met was 13 meters below Flanders field, in the Vampire dugout which was open to people who had his book, Beneath Flanders Fields. This was organised by the now defunct website Forumeerstewereldoorlog.NL. When people arrived...

I can understand that John. For me it is a 2hours drive in my car to get to Ypres, the Somme will take longer, just like Verdun.

I know, I already visited that museum many times before, now a young couple are in charge there. Excellent display's! The first time I visited it was in 1991, years ago, the last time was in 2012. But I sure will go there again. :) 👍

Very nice booklets! I am planning a trip to Ypres myself in a week or 2, haven't been there since 2014, because of the hype of the 100year celebrations of WW1, and the flood of too many visitors/tourists then. Been there many times before, but I like to walk the salient alone, not being...
