    And now a M1845/48 reserve helm fur a Jager or artillerie. Plume appears to be green which would be Jager but brass side supporrts make it artillery. Maybe wrong plume? Maybe faded plume? Artillerie wear red carrot plume.

    Forgive my bluntness. There are too many red flags on this helmet. The stamp does not match the standard stamps of the Asian Expeditionary Force units. I don't like the leather interior due to its characteristics. The entire body, given the type of materials used (especially the interior)...

    Today I'm showing you another old comrade I'm temporarily guarding. It's a model 1853 helmet from the city militia, the so-called "Burgerwehr". Despite its 175 years, the old man still looks sprightly and in pristine condition.
