    Prussian garde wappen

I have never heard of there being a "Garde Beampte". My first thought, is that this is an older Garde wappen based on the tail feather configuration. However, I am no expert.

The Great White North Dec 2025

Good to hear that the prairie heartland of N. America is receiving snowfall. We got our "dumping" on those days as well. Sometimes you have to step back and remember that sparse winter snow fall can mean drought for the farmers during the next growing season. We were in Manitoba in Sept. and the...

The Great White North Dec 2025

Good one Pete, I have never seen that Bob and Doug stamp before....probably would cost you $1.20 for the same stamp now! :) We are heading for a warmer climate on Monday! Also very good to hear that retired Canadian military are "working in Poland".👍

The Great White North Dec 2025

We are in the Ontario snow belt where our winter weather is dominated by "lake effect" storms from the Great Lakes. We had an easy November but Nature is doubling down now! The skiers are happy though! :)

The Great White North Dec 2025

For our European friends, a photo my driveway which was cleared at 6am today, this was taken at 2pm. This is why we Canadians call it the Great White North! :) We got 24 cm last Fri/Sat. The stakes are for the snowblower equipped tractor which clears the driveway. The city plow hasn't gone by...

    Local find

Definitely Beampte and I would also suggest, it is a Vulcan fibre helmet judging from the interior photo.....black interior. Excellent original condition.

    weekly sales in America

Ahhh...Doug watch out here! You have visited the Bunker numerous times like myself and seen T's wappens. I succumbed and now have at least 30+ in my collection. You are on a slippery slope Sir! Beware! :)

SOLD - M1914 Prussian Metal Pickelhaube in Field Gray

Another distinct feature....the black pre war style liner, all that I have ever seen including my version of this have "natural liners". This also includes my second ersatz tin which is a black van d Hayden with brass fittings. If I had the "coin" this would be in the mail to my abode/batiment ! :)

A Garde Infanterie M95 enlisted haube came my way.

Excellent helmets! These show the incredible variety that could be purchased even with "Army Regulations" in effect .

SOLD - M1914 Prussian Metal Pickelhaube in Field Gray

A great example, I don't remember having seen one with M15 fittings before. Mine has darkened brass on the same feldgrau shell. 👍

    First Pickelhaube

I would also like to add, that this conversion was done with care...... the old holes were filled once the brass grommets were removed. Then the new holes were steel grommeted to match the M15 wappen. This is unusual in my experience as most times the new holes were just punched in without...
