I only bought a modest french officer kepi of the 93 regiment because that regiment fought near maissin, the town in the Belgian Ardennes where there is a beautiful cemetery of german and french soldiers fallen during the battle of the frontier in august 1914 (Nearby our holliday house)...

Did I hear someone mention “miniatures” ?

SOLD: 174th Regiment enlisted pattern Field Cover 1914 Dated & Maker Marked Size 58

I really like it, but don’t understand as ik came together as a set with matching numbers, why don’t you sell them together? Such a set really is something special and adds considerable to its value historically, whereas the pickle apart is ‘just another M15’ , could you offer the set for sale?

    Reservist Cross, Landwehr Brunswick.

I don’t know, but what a beautiful wappen!!!!
  16. michiel

Does anyone know what this is?

Such a loose item with the saxon wappen may be difficult to sell, but can be extremely hard to find if needed, for example, the garde reiter sabel had also a attached coat of arms that was removed when reissued to an other military department, thus almost al sabel on the marked miss it, if found...

Last item from the lost parcel

Well that’s a nice one!!! What a beauty!!! Congrats, I’m fond of cavalry! Only the plume has a bit strange form I think, and the special Leib garde husaren fangschnurr specific for this regiment, with the tassels seems to be missing ( like most of those busbies as welll as mine, my leidgarde...

    Dragoon Items

good evening Some months ago I found schuppenketten to complete my saxon tschapka that had much to long yellow metal schuppenketten, (I posted it before with the much too long ketten, changed it for leather chinstrap, and recently to its current form with nicely matching convex schuppenketten...
