Okay I see that now. Very strange as it looks a bit like the Wurttemburg crown but two lions are normally Bavaria. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will jump in soon.

Hard to tell from the pictures but it looks almost like it has been painted (fittings) with gold paint. Or I guess it just could be loss of the finish?

Interesting. I thought German did that on a lot of stuff even back then for exports as mentioned. But I do doubt like the others that they would market this watch outside Germany. Unless the part in it goes in many watches (quite probable). Still a cool piece if the price is right and...
