    Pollutants, red rot

Great post! As a beginner Pickelhaube collector, I’ve always wondered what causes red rot.

    Goodbye for now,

Best wishes to you, Dane! Also, I found a kriegsflagge for when you come back: https://661944.com/militaria/flags-and-banners/ww1-german-kriegs-flag/ I can’t speak on authenticity, so you’ll have to do some research haha

I did it again, another Adrian helmet is in my collection as of now, a scarce Zouave variant.

I don’t blame you, Adrians are definitely one of the most attractive helmets of the Great War!

    Marching doggo with pickelhaube

While we’re still on the topic of pups in uniform here are few of my favorites! First up, Sergeant Stubby from WWI: And second, these rather hilarious looking dogs in the Wehrmacht:

    RESEARCH is KEY

    RESEARCH is KEY

I was just on a militaria collecting community on reddit because I was curious as to what other collectors were up to when I stumbled upon a post that was quite concerning. Some poor soul paid $500 for this monstrosity before asking for advice: This is just a reminder to new collectors that...

Having trouble identifying exactly what this is.

The file just has to be smaller. I always try to upload images directly from my phone, but I get error messages. So I just take a screenshot of the image and crop unnecessary bits and it works just fine.

New pick ups from the last few weeks!

Hey Dane! I totally forgot to get that photo I promised you! This is a late Qing Dynasty Oxtail Dao Saber, which, based off of its crude construction, seems to be a locally forged sword.
