I' ll request more pics and share with you what I get. My collecting focus is on kurassier and metalhelms, esp. the earlier models. Looks like a model1867 but with no step visor. These were reworked and upgraded for reissue at later dates as you know. Hope he sends good pics. Chris

Scary - This one looks as if its been worked over- brass visor trim seems reworked and the spike base studs look to flat with wrong kind of prongs. Under side of back visor looks 'scrubbed' or something. Where is the "pearlring" the guy is so proud to describe???? Chris

Yes- I had the same thought. He did send some more pics- they did not help much. The interior behind the plate has no extra holes and the screws, nuts and washers look good. The liner looks right ( although in bad shape) there is felt behind officer style leather band, correct? I don't know...

Seems like some doctoring. The spike although not completely incorrect is overpolished and not a typical kurassier issue. The frontplate looks painted silver and the body of the helmet looks -- something -- scratched or bad polish job. The helmplate is correct for this helmet and the kokrades...

The rear tail also looks 'flat' at the end, I know them to have at least a little arch up. The repos I have seen seem to have the flat look. The worn inside of the helmet did not seem to match the rather pristine look of the outside of the helm. odd. Chris
