Bavarian Infanterie-Leib Regiment Pickelhaube on AoK

Gentlemen, Age of Kings recently featured a Bavarian Infanterie-Leib Regiment officer's Pickelhaube on a recent weekly update. It was quickly sold before I managed to see the price. Does anyone recall or capture the price on that helmet? Many thanks, Mike

    Bavarian Day -- Photo Shoot

I decided to group some of my Bavarian pieces together as I not only collect Pickelhauben, but also items related to specific regiments and including headgear and uniforms. Generally, I also display related items together in my cabinets. Bavaria is one of my favorite regions of Germany and have...

WANTED: Officer Hamburg Kokarde for Pickelhaube

Gentlemen, I am looking for an officer version of the Hamburg Kokarde for a Pickelhaube. I know it is a long shot but if you don't ask, you never know. Photo attached of what I am looking for. Mike

    A Baden collection ...

Though my first focus when I began collecting Imperial was Pickelhauben, I quickly started adding uniforms, insignia, shoulder straps and epaulettes to the collection. That said, my very first purchase of a Pickelhaube was this Badisches Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 14 helmet in beautiful condition. As...

    Boxes for Helmets and Tschapkas

I have always loved having boxes to accompany most anything -- as they say, an original box with the item makes it more desirable though these came separately with the headgear that once resided inside. I do not collect Tschapkas and these may have been meant for those. I leave it to more...

    Feldartillerie Pin

This isn't Pickelhaube related, but like many Imperial collectors, my interests extend beyond headgear and one of my focuses is on Imperial German Army veteran organizations and their pins. Here is one for a monument dedication on 5 October 1924 for the 3. Garde-Feldartillerie Regiment. I have...

    A Hauptmann in IR 64

I just recently added this CDV to my photo and postcard collection. As can be seen on the reverse, it is a Hauptmann v. Collani in the image. Since the studio was in Angermunde, I will assume he was with the III. Batallion there as the rest of the regiment was in Prenzlau. The unit is...

    Bavarian

This Bavarian helmet just came in today and by the same company … M. Koltsch in Munich … that made a gorgeous Chevaulegers uniform I bought at Show of Shows. Normally I collect excellent to mint condition but the aging and toning of this piece really appealed to me and it also being untouched.

Who can reattach liner in Bavarian Pickelhaube

I need the recommendations of collectors here as to who I can call on to reattach the liner to the sweatband in my Bavarian officer’s Pickelhaube. It is about 75% detached. Any help appreciated. Mike

    Imperial Shoulder Straps for Sale

Shoulder straps are really great to display with headgear from the particular Regiment you are interested in. This is what I was encouraged to do from some members here -- thank you, Jim and Steve -- but these no longer fit my particular focus. Both are in excellent condition. 1. Kgl. Bayr...

Braunschweigisches Husaren-Regiment Nr. 17 EM Visor Cap

A rare visor cap and hard to find. The Husaren-Regiment Nr. 17 was one of the few units that displayed the Totenkopf on their headgear. It was formed in 1809 and garrisoned in Braunschweig. I would rate this Condition 2 with one small moth nip on the piping, right side. From the Steve McFarland...
