    Pieces from the auction

Here some pieces I was able to acquire at the auction last weekend. I know our fellow member "stuka f" sold a lot of the listed items but I'm not sure they were all part of his big collection. On saturday it was all French stuff and on sunday German (and some British and US too). I was only...

    Regimental marked belt

I've had this one for many years but had it in hand the other day and since it's so beautifully marked I'd like to share some pictures. It's a nice feldgrau Prussian buckle retaining almost all of its paint. The belt is marked two times: IR 14 II Batl. And: II/IR 14 6.K.9 There's another...

    Felt saxon

This one just arrived today from the US. Was the first time buying overseas and was a bit uncertain about taxes and so on but turner out to be manageable. It's a Saxon felt artillery helmet. I like Artillerie Hauben and i found this really cool straight away. The liner is really smooth and...

    Saxon 107.R.

I haven't had a Saxon helmet in the collection for quite some years and when this one was offered to me I couldn't say no. It's a helmet belonging to a soldier of Infanterie Regiment 107. It has the Kompanie mentioned but no Brigade. Haven't seen that before.

Something French and something very expensive

I recently bought this French M72/74 cuirassier helmet from our fellow member Sander. I have about a dozen French adrian helmets but none of these older (cavalry) types. Liner is a bit dry but present. I found it a very attractive helmet straight away so I'm glad I have it on my shelf. :)

    M1911 Torpedomesser

I know there are not a lot of edged weapons collectors here. But I'm giving it a try anyway since this is the only international forum I'm on. I'm selling my M1911 Torpedomesser. Really rare and in great condition. I'll let the pictures speak for itself. Asking price: 1445 euro including...

    Lingekopf battlefield and museum

I went on a short holiday to Alsace/Elsass this week and could convince my girlfriend to make a few short stops to WW1-sites. One that I didn't really know (except for the name) was the Lingekopf in the Vosges mountains. Very close to the pre-1918 border between France and Germany. This was...

    Chinstrap inspection

Hi guys (and girls), This chinstrap was on a Stahlhelm i bought a while ago. I'm posting it here to get some opinions just to be 100% sure. It's not stiff or dry at all.

    Named M16

This one just came in. I'm sure some will recognize it from the sale section of the forum. I'm really pleased with it. The helmet looks great in person (if you can say that of a helmet, haha) with nice green paint present. Liner is in great condition. Pads all nicely filled like it should be...

    Saxon helmets harder to find?

I was just looking at an overview with the number of inhabitants each German state of the Kaiserreich had. I noticed Sachsen had twice as much inhabitants as Baden and Württemberg (about 4.8 against 2.1 and 2.4 million). Since I see Saxon Haubes much less frequent than the other 2, I found this...

    Wuerttemberg helmet

This one recently arrived but wanted to check what you think about the wappen. It looks a bit like it belonged to a bigger Haube, but this is already a relatively large size. All other helmets I have, have a Wappen with a tight fit to the Haube. It's not straight out of the woodwork as they say...

    Battle damaged Württemberg Haube

I gave it some thought and decided that I will let this helmet go. It's a battle damaged Württemberg helmet with nice markings: Regiment 122 1 Batallion 2 Companie 1901 Unknown marking Maker stamped as well on other side of rear visor but I can only read "dorf". Notice the damaged antlers on...

    Small purchase at Ciney

I was at the militaria show yesterday in Ciney (Belgium). Wasn't looking for anything in particular but bought this nice artillerie Filz Pickelhaube (a large size) and a Kugelhandgranate. I'm quite pleased with them.

    Bayonet frog

I recently bought a k98 bayonet, but it came with this frog. Apart from the fact it's unfortunately damaged, it seems to have a 1916 manufacturing date. Maybe from a WW1 S84/98? There's another marking looking a bit like Reit. R1 but I'm not entirely sure.

    A common Prussian Filz

For some reason I never got to add a Filzhaube to my collection. I've been screening for one for about half a year but most of the time they're priced too high or they have been bended or ripped or a combination ot both. I found this one at the Military expo at Ciney in Belgium two weeks ago...

    R122 Württemberger

Hi everyonw, Some of you maybe saw this helmet on ebay. It's a bit deformed and missing the cockades but has some nice markings, has been hit by shrapnel and was sold by a family member so put a higher bid on this one. Anyway, I need other opinion about the markings. The seller asked his older...
