Is it possible that both these helmets belonged to the same colonel of the Hanoverian army?

Basically, I THINK the one on the left belonged to a Hanoverian Colonel and MAYBE the one on the right was his earlier helmet? Or someone else entirely. Am I making sense? Maybe neither one is right for a Hanoverian colonel, then again maybe he's a Hanoverian captain and not made it to colonel yet.
 
Just curious why you think they are for same man, are they named? Left is a Standard Prussian officer, while one on the right is for Enlisted OR Garde helmet?

I typed out this very long and detailed reply but felt so awkward that I just canceled that and have to say it's a private matter for now because I'm on the verge of a huge come up and don't want my blabber mouth to ruin it like it does everything in life so far. But yes, named helmets of Hanoverian colonels are involved. lol.

I promise to be back with all sorts of ancient history I uncovered and relics and Nazi astrology level type shii but I got to just get thru the storm first.

I did decide to purchase the new helmet (on the left) because the seller is trustworthy and because from what I know it's a helmet that a colonel would have maybe worn, like if it's believable that a Hanover colonel or captain might have worn it then that's good enough for me to believe it because I combine that with my knowledge of the seller and his source and my past purchases etc. So, I paid $2k for it and when I prove who it belonged to pretty soon you will see I did good.
 
I always try to buy an item not the story.

Stories are forgotten and lost over time and sometimes we are only left with the items and for me the item must stand alone on its own merit.

I hope it all turns out for you, I'm very interested in seeing where this will go. (y)

From the set of items that were offered in that sale I am guessing he was an officer in the Hanoverian Army prior to 1866, then became an officer in the Prussian Army after Langensalza. (the set included a Langensalza medal and a Franco-Prussian war medal). Of the 4 swords, I think the 2 on the left are from his time in the Hanoverian army and the 2 on the right from his time in the Prussian Army. Does the 2nd one from the left have the GRV cypher on the guard?

All the officers' helmets were identical. There was nothing to distinguish rank. Here, the curved chinstrap, if it is original, shows a Train officer.
As for the stern-guard on the right, I have serious doubts about its authenticity, given this photo.
And I even have major doubts about the authenticity of the Prussian officer's helmet. I don't like the spike base, which looks like a reproduction.
It is imperative to have other photos, rear view, underneath with the headdress etc...
Me, on these photographs, I reject the one like the other !!!
