Hello Otto,
In my opinion, it's a reproduction. I have an original, and the pins that pass through the cloth and rear plate are much sturdier and not made of brass. The mounting job is also infinitely neater (this one looks like a freshly-rogered hedgehog!). The metal pins should be bent at right angles towards the center.
Sorry I don't have a photo - I have yet to make friends with my digtal camera.
