M15 Leather Chin Strap Original or Repro??

I would like some opinions on this M15 helmet strap, original or repro?? I have not seen this pebbled leather being used before.

First impression without having it in hand is that the leather was cut from an old piece paired with old hardware then stitched together.

The thread just looks too fresh and clean when compared to the hardware, but I could be totally wrong.

Even though the leather is old, the edges show it was freshly cut.

Hi Brian,
Imo the sliders don't look correct, the originals are quite three-dimensional, which I don't see here. And they seem to be artificially aged.
In addition the stitching is not what I have typically seen.

I agree with the others on all points.
The stitching for the most part in originals are relatively evenly spaced.
The outside stitching on yours is substantially longer than the inside stitching.
