It’s my first post – so hello everyone !
I picked up a grubby Feldmutz recently primarily as a photo prop and something that the school kids that my wife teaches can touch & wear when they study WW1. The price made me think it’s a repro / fake but I don’t have anything to compare it with. I can’t really make my mind up if the dirt is artificial.
Just wondering if anyone could spare a couple of minutes to take a look at the pictures and let me know for sure based on the type of wool and the cockades etc.
I’d be interested to know what tell-tales to look for in comparison to this when trying to buy my first expensive “good” one to add to my collection.
