They seem wonderful to me.

Streamers for J B 6 & 7
For some reason that I have never know
the flags of the Jager Batls did not have the 1870/71 KDM streamers
with battle honors , in spite of the fact that they did have 1870 Iron
Cross Pole tops which showed that they were in combat in the Franco-Prussian war .
The two exceptions shown here are J B 6 & 7
while not the standard 1870/71 KDM
they do show the battle honors

Here is the earlier model of the Jager Batls
in this case J B 11 used from 1867 to 1903
then the new model Green flag for Jager Batls
J B 8 1909 This is like the J B 3 flag as posted by Mike Kelso from his collection .

Vielen Dank, Steve, für diese neuen Bilder

The Sakular banner of the 2. Schlesisches Jäger-Bataillon Nr. 6. is the same as that of the 5 Jäger-Bataillon.

Surely the two Jäger Battalions did not receive the Prussian ribbon of the 1870/71 campaign, as a compliment to their respective commanders, the 2.Schlesisches Jäger Bataillon Nr.6. It had General der Infanterie Ernst Herzog zu Sachsen-Altenbur H. as Chef and received his private ribbon from him.
and the Westfälisches Jagër-Bataillon Nr.7. It had as Chef the General d. Cavallerie Adolhf Georg Fürst zu Schumburg-Lippe D. and from him he received his private ribbon

I wonder how the battle honors were applied to the streamers ?
Have you ever seen a real photo of either of them ?
They do not have the standard clasps as used on the 1870/71 KDM streamers
Were the battle honors printed on ?
they are script not block letters
Do you know ?
Thanks
Steve

Steve,

I remember seeing a Jaeger Batl fahne at SOS in 2004(?) The one at the show ended up on a militaria website, the photos are still there. Our mutual acquaintance JA said he had one but I never saw it.

Steve,
I thought by the illustration the battle honors were probably embroidered, but the photo looks like they are metal attached to the streamer

Steve
I have owned 2 different Jager flags in my time
the first one went to JA
I suspect that he sold or traded it to S. Wolfe
it was sold on the West Coast
and later was at the Grenadier Auction (Bruce Hermann)
the second one was the complete Jager Batl 3 flag
which is now in the collection of Mike Kelso .
The first one showed up in one of those I am in your city
at hotel X to buy Militaria
then to the 3rd Reich collector Pete P.
then to S. Wolfe
then J P
and from JP to me
#1 was just the flag
so when I had the chance to buy the J B 3 flag
I sold flag # 1

Here we have a tape with the date of foundation according to the model of 1899, with a rare peculiarity, the date of 1813 appears with a straight upper part, when it is common to see it rounded.
Among the original photos I have only seen this peculiarity in the tape of the uhlan regiment number 6. Although this does not mean that my tape belongs to this regiment, since there are many other tapes that we still do not know about. In addition, my tape only has one part, the other is missing where we could see which unit it belongs to.
