4th Kürassier Regiment Cap: Private-purchase mütze for a trooper in Kürassier-Regiment „von Driesen“ (Westfälisches) Nr. 4. Beautiful, high-quality white doeskin wool body with bright red band and piping (the same color scheme as the Regiment der Gardes du Corps). Excellent Prussian and national enlisted cockades. Full sweatband, elegant pale blue lining with silver maker’s mark of F. Busch in Münster, the garrison town for the 4th Kürassier Regiment, which shows some wear. One or two pinhole spots of mothing on the top, and a few minor spots of tracking, but otherwise in fine condition. Vibrant colors. Kürassier white is notoriously prone to age darkening and staining, but this cap is unusually bright and clean. Overall, a beautiful, high-quality example of a very scarce cavalry regiment (Kürassiers being especially hard to find) – hard to upgrade this one.
