I couldn't resist this Spanish "German" M42. Someone had spray painted it black and put German WW2 decals on it.

Well my acetone trick worked perfectly and now it is in its original colour and with the badge.

I like it and think it turned out pretty good.

Not sure the pictures are not showing but if you click them they work.

Managed to fix pictures by dragging them into the text box.

Awesome! I’m glad you were able to remove the misleading paint job and decal. New collectors always mistake these for genuine WWII German stahlhelms, so if this one ever goes back into circulation, there’ll be little chance that it’ll be mistakenly identified!
