Am I seeing metal parts on the lugs and visor trim or is this pattination. Thank You.

The visor and the prongs for holding the visor in place are metal as wel as the lugs for the wappen in this case you seen it good

Could be in a moment of its service that it went into repair but then it should bare a bekleidungs ambt (B.A) stamp or in worst case its a parts helmet

Wow I did not spot the lugs for the wappen, but thanks for pointing this out and making me aware of the stampings. Think I will steer clear. Thanks for the reply Jonas.

If the helmet went into repair it has to be stamped like in the picture with the B.J.A. stamps in the case of my picture it has a aditional stamp that indicates it was only useble in the garnison (g) garnisonsbrauchbar and not in the field (f) fieldbrauchbar

Wow really interesting, so much to learn, thanks for sending this. After seeing your last message I have seen this one wich links in with what you are saying. If you care to look it is here with the B.J.A stamp although the spike looks weird.
