I'm surprised nobody has bid on this one yet. To me, it looks like a nice restoration project. I may be wrong, but if I were looking for a Bavarian NCO Pickelhaube at a reasonable price, I'd be on it.

I saw that too James. I do not know what your offer was off-course, but saw it for sale again on Ebay.
I guess they're hoping for a bidding war.

If they're hoping for that, it would've happened with the first auction. James, maybe tell them your offer stands, should they so desire to accept it in the future. Or.... let them keep the helmet! ;)

I think some people dont know how the offer thing works and they just dont look at the "You have an offer" bit. Rob
 
Exactly correct Rob. I used the “make offer” option once and had no response from the seller. The helmet sold for less than I offered; I was away and unable to bid later. I suspect sometimes the seller has a local buyer and uses the sale platform as a way to confirm the value or bolster the sale.
