Hi all, I've had this in my possession for about 10 years - from memory I bought when I was in the UK and I was planning to use for a replica period dress uniform (I assumed that they were from an English ADC, but ChatGPR insists they are pre 1918 german ). I'm decided to put on ebay, but I can't identify the era and country - the buttons have a crown with a lion on top and some script below. I've tried searching like crazy and Chatgpt seems to be giving me weird answers.
The set has two braided shoulder boards and a matching aiguillette. The boards feature three silver starburst pips with red crosses and a brass button topped by a lion‑crested crown and monogram that I cannot identify. The braid is metallic silver‑gilt over red underlay.
Anyone recognize and have an idea on value? It's all in pretty good condition.
