weekly sales in America

Voila; I was just waiting and in less than 3 minutes, 2 were already sold. I think they set the timer to be the first. This is what they call a hobby, haha.

Today August 22 another nice update by Age of Kings. items from the Rich Ames collection.
There was a very nice dress hat for the L G R 8 that I liked but it was sold before I saw it
They still have a very nice D R 26 officer helmet for sale. If someone is looking for one.
Steve

Does anyone know what the prices were for the two peaked officer hats (Hussar Nr. 11 and Infantry Regiment Nr. 92) offered by Age of Kings before that were sold so very quickly?
Kaiser Wilhelm II's method of finding the price is not working for me. (Apple computer ?)

Named to Officer
Prussian 11th Uhlan Officer visor hat circa 1900.
Sorry but it is postwar. If you look closely at the Pekuro markings, you will note that the award to the company on the right that was dated 1926 has been carefully cut to remove the “2” from the date. I have a cap like this for a Jäger officer where the date was smudged to also obscure the date and lead someone to believe it was of the Imperial period. They were made after 1926. On other caps, a giveaway is a celluloid sweat shield which were also postwar as well as waterproofing.IMG_0865.jpeg

I think these are all nice for my wardrobe, but unfortunately they are not so good for my wallet. I'll wait for some cheaper pieces here on the forum.

Prussian Silver Garde Reserve Officers Pickelhaube to Parade

Württemberg 13th Train Reserve Officers Pickelhaube

Württemberg 26th Dragoon Officers Pickelhaube

I would like to have another Belgian shako in my collection

I didn't see any prices , as they were gone after the sales.

Good luck to the buyers and I'm happy for the sellers.

If collectors are lining up to be the first in line to buy and other collectors don't even know what the helmets are selling for myself included most of the time, I see higher and higher prices in the future.

It's all about supply and demand and the market will create the prices and with some helmets selling before you can even read the description it makes you wonder.

I paid $450.00 for my Hessian L G I R 115 officers helmet back in the 1970's
A helmet from that regiment is now $7,000 +
