1st Kurassier enlisted man

Here is another one.
He does not try to hide the scar on his face. It may be a fencing (duelling) scar, which was a mark of honour for young men from upper class families in the early 1900's.
I'd bet money that it's a dueling scar - the whole point was the bad-ass visibility this young gent seems so proud of! Dueling: The Cult of Honor in Fin-de-Siècle Germany is a fascinating book on this period phenomenon. What a great image, Bruno!
