No, not even as a substitute. The helmets used by the Dragons in 1914 were all M94s, which were lighter and had side-posts. Everything is smaller, everything is lighter. The leather on the case is thinner.

Just one more question (again). The cockades used on my helmet were the larger models. But in which color? You see them in black and white, but also in black and red.
And were those the same for the M60, M67, and M94?

Yes, for Prussia, a black cockade on the right with a white crown; in 1897, by order of the Kaiser or the General Staff, this cockade was moved to the left, and was replaced on the right by the Reichskokarde.

That's interesting. This chimney cap looks like a “chevauleger” or a Hessian.
