Your helmet looks like a M1915, even with authentic leather cord to adjust the liner. Unfortunately somebody tried to attach a new Wappen to the helmet, by punching new holes into the shell. Moving the wire loops on the back of the Wappen would have been a better solution in my opinion. The...

Two weeks ago, I was in Wilhelmshaven to visit the memorial for those buried at sea, as my father, stepfather, and grandparents were buried there. There, in addition to the plaque for my relatives, I also found a plaque engraved with "Manfred, Freiherr von Richthofen." But it wasn't the Red Baron. 🙏
