Mhhh... yes i expected something like this. The chinstraps are wanted by everyone, the Pickelhaubes collectors and the helmet collectors, too. So the Price is high. But for now the copy-chinstrap is ok for me, it matches with my Pickelhaube and it can stay there until sometimes an original...

Thanks to all for your opinions! I bought it now and i am very happy with it. I can't find any stamps or markings on the Haube. It could be that there was a stamp on the liner but the leather became very dark by sweat or something and there is nothing to find. Where i can find a original chin...
