If I'm not mistaken it's possible that this is pieces together due to the buttons being brass and not silver which is what they should be for a pioneer uniform, or possibly the shoulder boards are added.

That is quite true but the ridiculous auction fees almost make it not worth going to sites like that. I can't understand payd 25-40% extra for items that are already quite expensive

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what sword knot i should hunt down for an NCO of the 5th Bavarian artillery, I'm unsure of what battery but I've also seen some sources saying that NCOs didn't use battery specific knots. I can't seem to find alot of definitive guides...

Outstanding analysis and great helmets! If only my markings were a little easier to read.

I would definitely be open to adding the correct visor trim, I just know how hard the silver fittings are to find so I wasn't going to get my hopes up haha
