I was taking helmets down to do my semi annual dusting, and remembered I never shared this helmet before, picked it up last Summer from a good friend.

So here we have 2 JZP OR helmets side by side, on the left a JZP to the 7th and right JZP 6th Reserve.

ok now for the huge difference, the one on the left is the largest Pickelhaube I have ever seen is even to big for my huge noggin. It is a size 62 and just look at the extra steel they had to use to make this thing. The one on the right is a size 55 for comparison.

James,
Great helmets, gotta love that reserve cross! Size 62, that’s quite the melon !

Cheers,
Dennis

A 60 cm M15 is the largest JzP I have ever owned. Unfortunately, it had to be sold years ago.

This is my head size. Should I take this as a compliment?.. :)
I have 60...I must be a "Cavaillon Melon" if Bruno is a watermelon 😂
I think we, "modern humans", have such bigger sized heads. People were much smaller for more than 120 years, because of malnutrition. Normal head size was 54-55 and bodys size 1,64-1,70 m when you have a look to the Kriegsstamrollen. Officers were often bigger.

Amazing!
Thanks for sharing.
I can only think of all the die's they might have had to make all those different sizes....
